Housing AssistanceVBCCM does not operate its own student housing. However, staff are available to direct students to trusted local listings, short-term rentals, or homestay agencies. Students are encouraged to review their rights under the BC Residential Tenancy Act.

Health, Mental Health, and Addiction Resources
Information about mental health and wellness support is available through Student Services. Students can access nearby services and request referrals. VBCCM also provides information about free Naloxone kits at local pharmacies in accordance with provincial health recommendations.

Students can meet with instructors or student support staff to discuss their academic progress, course options, and study strategies as needed.

VBCCM instructors are available during scheduled hours to support students with coursework. Academic support may also include small group sessions or referrals as appropriate.

Community Integration & Daily Life SupportVBCCM supports students in adapting to daily life in BC by offering general guidance on public transportation, banking setup, mobile plans, and community connections. Most importantly, local volunteer opportunities and cultural events are shared.

Orientation ProgramA general orientation is held before the start of each term to welcome new students. The session includes an introduction to academic expectations, school policies, key student resources, and tips for living in British Columbia.

PGWP EligibilityGraduates of this program may be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), depending on IRCC’s current list of eligible fields. Please note: IRCC updated eligible programs on June 25, 2025—fields added then are now eligible for new applicants. Applicants who submitted their study permit application before June 25, 2025 remain eligible under previous rules. Students should verify eligibility directly with IRCC or a licensed immigration consultant.

Financial Aid & ScholarshipsVBCCM does not currently offer internal scholarships or bursaries. However, our staff can assist students in applying for external financial aid opportunities, including government student loans, grants, and private scholarship programs. Support is available through Student Services.
